This ad popped up on my instagram feed this morning.
It’s from a physio here in Bondi.
He’s offering to relieve back pain with a specialist strength and rehab program.
Sounds good right?
Mmmmm… here’s his client swinging a kettlebell.
His ad says his treatment will identify the underlining causes of back pain.
I think I’ve found it already… just look at the extension through the lumbar spine at the top of the upswing!
His client is leaning back so far he’s almost at 45 degrees.
Where do you think that load is going?
Yep… right into an existing disc bulge or hernia.
Ouch!
I’m not sure if he’s fixing em or breaking em.
Here’s what a swing should look like…
A perfectly straight line through the ankle, hip, shoulder and ear.
I think this physio needs to become a certified kettlebell instructor before he has his clients swing a big ol hunk of iron with an existing back injury.
What do ya reckon?
