When at school, Jorge was one of the most unfit and chubby kids in his class. He did not perform well in fitness activities and hence did not like participating in them. As he wanted to change this, he drew on a urge from within to prove that he was capable of achieving all of his fitness goals. Thus in 1997, he took up participation in group fitness classes. He performed so well at the time, that when he decided to enroll in a gym course to learn from the instructors working there, he was asked, instead, to cover an instructor’s class. The attendees of that class enjoyed it so much that they petitioned the gym’s owner to keep Jorge on to teach classes, permanently. Ever since that day, Jorge has devoted himself to his freestyle fitness classes, using his own imagination to produce creative and diverse routines. He has attended numerous workshops in Colombia and Australia, some of them taught by prominent fitness personalities from all over the world, where freestyle fitness is among the most popular of fitness activities . With the support of his friends in Sydney he started his own fitness business and successful fitness classes, that he still teaches today.
