This post is from 16-years of hard knocks in the fitness industry.

If I were to start all over again, here are 5 things I’d do to start over.

I hope they help…

1. Hire A Coach Or Mentor

Find someone that has done or doing what you want to do and ask them to mentor you, pay them if you have to. A good mentor can shave years off your learning curve.

2. Sell Online

The World is going more online and the fitness industry will do too, this is the biggest change that’s going on right now! Get in while the going is good.

3. Run Challenges

I’ve been running challenges since 2011, they worked then… and they’re still working today. If you want to get your name out there fast, run a free 7-day (group) challenge and sell off the back-end.

4. Master One Media At A Time

Get really, really, really good at one form of marketing. Then when you have your systems dialled in and it’s automated, get good at another. Don’t try to learn SEO, Facebook ads, Facebook organic, Intstagram, email and offline all at once. You’ll just end up getting overwhelmed.

5. 50 / 50 Rule

Spend 50% of your time getting better at business, and 50% of your time becoming a better trainer. There’s a huge range of business books you can pick up at Amazon that will get you started.

And, if you want to discover a new set of training skills that will make you a better trainer and set you apart from your competition.
